Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead

Survive a ruined world: scavenge supplies, craft equipment, build shelters and explore in the original Cataclysm: DDA 0.I-1 engine. Desktop and a keyboard are recommended.

Use a current desktop browser with WebAssembly JSPI support. Choose New Game → Play Now! (Default Scenario) for a quick start, or Tutorial Game to learn. Arrows navigate menus and Enter confirms. The game contains complex survival systems and mature horror content.

About 31 MiB engine and core data · additional tilesets load as selected

Ready when you are.

Saves

Use the original S Save & quit command and confirm before Stop. Written characters, worlds and settings stay in this browser when storage is available. Stop flushes already written files; it does not save an unfinished turn. Load your character through the original menu after Play. The player can download a ZIP backup; restoring a ZIP merges written files and restarts. Without storage, play lasts for the session and ZIP export remains available. Clearing site data removes worlds.

Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead — help & credits

Arrows navigate menus or move in the world. Enter confirms and Escape cancels. Period waits, e examines, i opens inventory, g picks up and ? opens native key help. S saves and quits after confirmation. The Keys, text and backups panel supplies common commands and text entry on phones; a desktop keyboard is recommended. Tab leaves the canvas; Native Tab sends Tab into menus. Zoom in enlarges the canvas; scroll to pan and Fit restores it. Page Pause freezes browser execution. No soundpack is included. This experimental browser edition requires WebAssembly JSPI; unsupported browsers show an explanation.
