Endless Sky 0.11.3.0-alpha — Michael Zahniser, Endless Sky contributors and the original artists. Maintained Endless Web a5f72469249bf3344bfee44c7ee06132303576b7 by Thomas Ballinger and contributors; independent Leaf Arcade browser integration, not an endorsed or official release. Engine and Leaf integration: GPLv3 or later. COPYING.txt contains the complete GPL. Original data, shaders, credits and key definitions retain upstream notices. Original images/audio retain their separate per-file licenses: CC BY-SA 4.0/3.0, CC BY 4.0/3.0, CC0, public domain and Unsplash. UPSTREAM-COPYRIGHT.txt contains the complete original grants, author notices, exceptions and license texts; ASSET-LICENSES.json resolves its declarations to every original runtime file, including reviewed filename/folder aliases in ASSET-LICENSE-ALIASES.json; these preserve specific artist credits and grants where an upstream pattern is stale or omits an extension. GAME-CREDITS.txt retains the complete original credits. The 37 Unsplash landscape images are retained as original game scenery; they are not sold as photographs or offered as a competing photo service. Their separate license is not replaced with GPL or Creative Commons. Ubuntu bitmap atlases remain byte-identical and are identified here as Ubuntu derivative Endless Sky bitmap atlas 14/18; the underlying Ubuntu Font Licence 1.0 and Canonical/Dalton Maag copyright are retained separately in UBUNTU-FONT-LICENCE.txt and UBUNTU-FONT-COPYRIGHT.txt. The supplementary Ubuntu 0.83 source archive is not claimed to be the exact historical font-generation input. Native libraries: SDL 2.32.8, libpng 1.6.39, zlib 1.3.1, libjpeg-turbo 2.1.0 and mpg123 1.26.2, plus OpenAL/WebGL/FS/libc/libc++ runtime sources from Emscripten 4.0.23. This software is based in part on the work of the Independent JPEG Group. mpg123: Copyright (c) 1995-2013 by Michael Hipp and others, free software under the LGPL v2.1. Complete native/browser notices are in BROWSER-LIBRARY-NOTICES.txt; original per-file source notices remain in the accompanying archives. Platform changes preserve the original world, missions, combat, art and audio: bounded checksummed lazy resources, native image dimensions without metadata pixel allocation, sequential sprite decoding, original deferred-image preference, fixed 1024x768 presentation with phone zoom/pan and native input, browser-local written-save transfer/persistence, and normal native exit. No hosted game service, account, inference or telemetry is required. Corresponding source: source/ and REBUILD.md provide the complete original and exact prepared native source, matching library archives, Emscripten code/configuration and readable browser/preparation/build/resource/package/persistence code. All downloads are split into parts no larger than 20 MiB. Users may modify and rebuild/relink the application and libraries, including mpg123, without any signature or account requirement. Original resource bytes are unchanged and are not relicensed.
