Every move slides all tiles as far as they go. Two equal tiles that meet merge into their sum, and each tile merges once per move.

After each move that changes the board, a 2 or occasionally a 4 appears in an empty square.

Merges add their new value to your score. Reach 2048 to win; the round ends when no move changes the board.

How to play

Goal. Slide and merge numbered tiles until you make a 2048 tile.

Moving

Each move slides every tile as far as it goes in one direction on the 4 × 4 board.
Two equal tiles that meet merge into their sum. A tile merges only once per move.
After every move that changes the board, a 2 (sometimes a 4) appears in an empty square.
Each merge adds the new tile's value to your score.

One row, swiped left. The two 2s merge into a 4. That new 4 cannot merge again in the same move, so the row ends 4, 4, 8: +4 points.

End of the game

Make 2048 to win. The round ends when no move changes the board.
