How to play

Goal. Shade squares so no number repeats in any row or column, shaded squares never share a side, and all open squares stay connected.

Weeding

  • Among the open squares, every row and every column holds each number at most once.
  • Shaded squares never touch along a side, and the open squares join into one area.
  • Shade only to remove a repeat: each shaded number still appears, open, in its row or column.
  • Tap a square to cycle shaded, kept and open. A kept ring marks a square you know stays.

Between two twins. One of the two 2s must be shaded. If the ringed 5 between them were shaded, neither 2 could be, because shaded squares cannot touch, so the 5 stays open.

Help

  • Every grid has exactly one solution. Hint fixes a wrong mark or shades the next square that must go.
  • Choose 5 × 5, 7 × 7 or 9 × 9, or today's grid.

Controls

  • Touch or keyboard.
