Goal. Move all 52 cards onto four foundations, one for each suit, building from Ace up to King.
Setup
- Seven columns: the first holds one face-up card; each other column has one to six face-down cards under five face-up cards.
- There is no stock. Every card is on the table from the start.
Moving cards
- Any face-up card can move, together with every card lying on it, even if those cards are not in order.
- The card you pick up must land on a card one rank higher of the opposite colour. On Level 3 (the Russian rule) it must be the same suit instead.
- Only a King, with whatever lies on it, can fill an empty column. On Level 1 any group may.
- A face-down card turns over when the cards covering it are gone.

Moving a tangle. The 7♥ can go onto the black 8♣, and the 2♠ and Q♦ lying on it travel with it, even though they are out of order.Foundations
- Foundations start with an Ace and grow one card at a time in the same suit.
- Cards that no other card could still need go home automatically. Send home moves every card that can legally go up.
End of the game
- You win when all four foundations reach the King.
- The game looks for a winning line before it deals, so most deals can be won. Hints and undo are free.
