How to play Battleships
Each player secretly places five straight ships of lengths 5, 4, 3, 3 and 2 on a 10×10 grid. Ships may touch but cannot overlap or leave the grid. Tap a starting square to place the next ship; switch horizontal/vertical or arrange automatically, then lock the fleet. Player 1 sets up first, then Player 2. Player 1 fires first. Take exactly one shot per turn, including after a hit. The target grid marks hits and misses, and reveals a ship when every square is hit. Sink all five enemy ships to win. On one device, hide your fleet before passing it. Online, only your own ships and already-known shot results are sent to your browser.
