How to play International Draughts

White starts on a 10×10 board with twenty pieces per side. Men move one diagonal square forward and capture in either direction. Kings slide diagonally and land on any empty square beyond a captured piece. Captures are compulsory: choose a sequence taking the greatest number of pieces. Captured pieces remain as blockers until the entire sequence ends. A man becomes a king only if its final square is on the promotion row. No pieces or no legal move loses. Threefold repetition, twenty-five successive king moves per player without captures or man moves, and the official sixteen/five-move king endgame limits draw automatically.
