How to play Backgammon

Opening dice: one per player; higher starts using both dice. Move in your direction using both dice if possible, or the higher die when only one can be used. Doubles give four moves. Hit lone opposing pieces; re-enter from the bar before moving other pieces. Bear off only when all pieces are home, using exact dice or an oversize die from the farthest occupied point. First to bear off fifteen wins. Single games score 1, gammons 2 and backgammons 3. This table plays a single game without a doubling cube.
