How to play Pan
A 24-card deck, nine through ace. The holder of the heart nine opens with that card or all four nines. Play one card or all four of a rank, no lower than the pile top. With only the heart nine on the pile, the other three nines can be played together. Instead of playing, take up to three top cards, leaving the heart nine. Empty hands leave the round. The last player receives a P, then A, then N; three letters loses the match. A last player who can immediately shed one or four aces draws the round. This table uses the ordinary clockwise variant.
