How to play

Goal. Plant flowers of every height once in each row and column so each edge clue sees exactly that many flowers.

Seeing flowers

  • Heights run from 1 to the grid size. No height repeats in a row or column.
  • A clue counts the flowers visible from its side. A flower is seen only when it is taller than every flower in front of it.
  • A clue of 1 means the tallest flower stands next to it; a clue equal to the grid size means heights rise one by one.

Counting from the left. Looking along 2 1 4 3 from the left, you see 2 and 4; 1 hides behind 2 and 3 behind 4. The clue is 2. From the right you see 3 and 4, so that clue is also 2.

Help

  • Notes record candidates. Hint reveals the selected square, or the first empty or wrong one.
  • Choose 4 × 4, 5 × 5 or 6 × 6, or today's grid.

Controls

  • Touch or keyboard.
