How to play

Goal. Fill the grid so every row and column holds each digit once, and each outlined cage reaches its target with its operation.

Cages and operations

  • A 4 × 4 grid uses 1–4, a 5 × 5 grid 1–5 and a 6 × 6 grid 1–6, each once per row and column.
  • + adds and × multiplies every square in the cage. − and ÷ cages have two squares: the larger digit minus, or divided by, the smaller.
  • A digit may repeat inside a cage when the squares are in different rows and columns. A single square simply shows its digit.

Reading targets. In a 4 × 4 grid, few digit pairs reach each target, so start with the cages that leave only one choice.

Help

  • Every grid has exactly one solution. Repeated digits and cages that miss their target are marked.
  • Notes record candidates. Hint reveals the selected square, or the first empty or wrong one.
  • Choose 4 × 4, 5 × 5 or 6 × 6, or today's grid.

Controls

  • Touch or keyboard.
